Now with advance in dentistry, there is a solution for any dissatisfaction you have with you teeth.  Veneers have helped many of our existing patients throughout the years.  Veneers are custom-made, durable shells specially prepared to make your teeth look natural.  Veneers are affixed directly to the tooth, and usually without requiring anesthetic.  Another good thing about Veneering is that it requires only few appointments. 

There are 2 types of veneers: ceramic veneers ( also called laminates) and composite resin veneers.  Let us go over them briefly.

Ceramic Veneers:
They are very thin shells made of a strong dental ceramic material. The dentist removes a small amount of enamel from the front and sides of the tooth.  It will thus make room for the veneer and prevents the restored tooth from feeling or looking bulky or unnatural.  Impressions are then taken and sent to a dental lab that produce the ceramic veneers to custom fit your individual teeth.
Composite Veneers:
They can be generally performed in single appointment.  After the tooth is prepared and reshaped, the dentist carefully bonds and sculpts the composite material in a color that matches the color of your other teeth.  A special light is used to harden the composite.  The veneer is smoothed and polished to look like a natural tooth.
